Welcome to the Single Business Number Project
The Single Business Number (SBN) Project is an innovative multi-partner project that will allow businesses in British Columbia to interact with multiple levels of government using one common business identifier, the federal Business Number. The SBN Project lays the groundwork for service delivery spanning the full spectrum of business-government interactions from business registration through to maintenance of basic records to (eventual) full reporting and remittance processing.
The Single Business Number Project will be implemented in the Fall/Winter 2003-2004.
This website provides information related to the Single Business Number Project and the business partners participating in the Project. The Ministry of Small Business and Economic Development collaboration with project partners, has initiated the SBN Project as part of an overall government strategy to provide improved service to business focusing on red tape reduction and single window access for business to government transactions.
